Program Description: The program is intended to provide those advanced undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in neuromuscular biomechanics and advanced data processing with a first-hand experience in and a thorough understanding of the techniques and methods associated with the collection, processing, reduction and dissemination of research data. The study abroad program will be based at Brunel University (Uxbridge, London, UK) and will include: formal lectures delivered by primary and secondary faculty as well as and hands-on project-based assignments. This course will be taught using the "I do, we do, you do" method in which techniques are demonstrated to students, students are walked through the task by the instructors and then students complete the task independently. Students will complete preparatory assignments prior to departing for London and will complete a comprehensive paper in a format similar to that required to submit for peer­-reviewed publication.

Course Information:  
CITI Training {0%) - CITI Training is training required prior to pa1ticipation in research. All students participating in the course will be required to complete CITI training prior to beginning the course. This training is done online via access from the University of Memphis. Students may take the quizzes as many times as needed to pass. Students are required to verify with the instructor that they have passed CIT! training by printing the summary page to *.pdf file and upload it to eCourseware.
 
All undergraduate students will receive 3 academic credit hours awarded by the University of Memphis. Students will take part in the following course: 
ESMS 4902: Special Topics in ESMS: Research Methods in Neuromechanics (3 credit hours) 

All graduate students will receive 3 academic credit hours awarded by the University of Memphis. Students will take part in the following course: 
ESMS 7532: Special Topics in ESMS: Research Methods in Neuromechanics (3 credit hours)
