PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
• Known as one of the sunniest places in New Zealand, Nelson is renowned for its stunning natural landscapes, close access to sandy beaches, ecologically diverse forests, and rugged mountains, all within minutes of town.  
• Take courses in unique subject areas that New Zealand is known for including marine science, Maori studies, sports studies, and kinesiology.
• The Wellbeing Support Team helps students thrive, and ISEP students have access to resources for mental health, academic success, and DEI to ease transitioning to life in a new culture. 

LIFE ABROAD  
Surround yourself in the warm weather and welcoming community of Nelson, a city known for its artistic culture and vast stunning landscapes! Enjoy all the activities the city has to offer in your new home away from home while living in Nelson’s vibrant city center. 

INTERN 
NMIT offers internships in Marine Science and Sports & Recreation Science. All internships are credit-bearing and integrated into semester coursework. Most internships require 1-2 years of university-level studies in the chosen field. Most internships are a minimum of 80 hours, plus required coursework.
