Program Description: Ireland is known as, "the land of saints and scholars," and is the perfect location for an amazing study abroad experience. This program will allow students to see beautiful landscapes, coastal villages, taste famous cuisine, hear music, see castles, and tour museums. Students in this program can take courses in Modern World History, World Literature, Mythology and Criminal Justice. Students will stay in several towns, including Doolin, Cork, and Dublin.
Excursions: Special opportunities while on location may include a trip to the Aran Islands to see the medieval ruins of Dun Aengus Fort, a tour of Blarney Castle, home of the famous Blarney Stone, a visit to the Rock of Cashel, former home of Irish kings, or a ferry ride to Spike Island, known as the Alcatraz of Ireland.

Classes: Classes will be held at various locations, including museums and onsite at the lodging facility. Days and hours will vary depending on individual instructors.
- Modern World Literature: ENGL 2320
- Nature and Travel Photography: PHO 2100
- Mythology: ENGL 2160
Program Fee: The program fee is made up of the application fee and program fee (airfare included). All fees are paid at your home institution. Students are also required to pay a nonrefundable application fee of $100 by February 1. This fee will be paid through your Study Abroad application.
Accommodations: Students will stay in group apartments, same-sex dorm rooms in hostels, or university housing. Each housing facility will be within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, and taxi ranks or bus stops for adventures further afield. Breakfast and Lunch or Dinner will be provided daily.

A $100 U of M administration fee is already included in the given program price, but students will need to pay the TnCIS Application Fee, which is not included in the program price.
Application Procedure: In addition to the study abroad application due February 1, applicants will need to complete the TnCIS application by February 1. This application includes the online form, official transcript, and a letter of recommendation.
