Program Cost: The Universidad ESAN program is a bilateral exchange. Participants will pay UM tuition for 15 credit hours in addition to the $350 application fee. The program fee does not include housing, food, insurance, round trip airfare or personal expenses.

Program Description: Universidad ESAN is fully immersed in an internationalization process, maintaining strategic links with prestigious institutions in the five Continents, and keeping a permanent and stimulating dialogue with their authorities and members. Through this effort ESAN offers faculty, students and alumni, new dimensions of knowledge and opportunities for professional and personal growth.

ESAN's MBA has been formulated within the frame of the strictest international academic standards, with topnotch instructional and information technology and under the academic responsibility of a qualified management experienced faculty. It has international recognition, reflected in 6 double-degrees and over 60 one or two semester exchange agreements. Spanish language courses are also available to students and faculty.

The master programs in Finance and in Finance and Corporate Law have been offered since 2004, to satisfy further training needs at the graduate level. At present ESAN´s MSc portfolio also includes master programs in Information Technology, Real Estate Management and Development, Marketing, Management of People and Supply Chain Management. These are unique in their structure and other characteristics, defined to increase the relationship between theory and practice.

Program Location: The ESAN campus, located on the site of an old hacienda-house in the district of Santiago de Surco, surrounded by hills and green areas and with modern installations, provides the atmosphere required for studying. All working areas -the Information Center (ESAN/Cendoc), classrooms, offices and meeting rooms- have wireless access to Internet.

Accommodation: Students will live with a host family or rent an apartment. Depending on the type of facility chosen, accommodation price may vary from:

  • US$160 to US$230 per month if living with a local family

  • US$250 to US$400 if renting an apartment.

Application Procedure: In addition to the regular study abroad application, students will need to complete an application for Universidad ESAN. ESAN offers one and two term exchanges.The home institution will nominate candidates that have sufficient command of Spanish to pursue graduate studies at ESAN (names and e-mail addresses). If deemed necessary the student could participate in the 10-week immersion language programs offered by ESAN. These programs are specially designed and involve an additional cost to be covered by the student. Upon receiving this information, ESAN will provide the potential exchange student with detailed information about the Master programs, and will ask that an application form be submitted. The application for Univeridad ESAN will found with the study abroad application, and should be turned in with the study abroad application materials. The application deadline is three month prior to the published starting date of studies.

Admission Requirements:

  • Complete application form.
  • Professional résumé, including a photograph.
  • Hard copy of the university official nomination letter.
  • Proof of health insurance for the duration of the stay.
  • ?Copy of Passport.

Workload for graduate MBA and MSc programs: The workload and course selection of exchange students admitted in Universidad ESAN´s MBA and MSc programs must be approved by the home institution. For such purpose, Universidad ESAN will provide the student with information about course availability. After his/her selection and the home institution's approval, ESAN´s Admission Office will officially register the student.  Based on that registration, grades obtained will be informed to both parties at the conclusion of the semester. Universidad ESAN recommends a 6 to 7 courses workload per academic semester.

Spanish Language Preparatory Courses: As part of the exchange program, Universidad ESAN is pleased to offer a 20-hour Spanish workshop free of charge, which aims at developing academic skills in the Spanish language.  This workshop will help students to participate in the MBA sessions in a more effective way.  It will help develop skills such as academic reading and listening, as well as making presentations, participating in discussions and writing essays.

In addition, ESAN also offers the Spanish for Business Program for a reasonable fee.  This is an intensive 4-week immersion program customized to the needs of foreign MBA and MSc students. The program focuses on Spanish for business purposes, including the discussion of Latin American case studies.
