Program Description: Ulm offers degrees in graphic design (digital media) and many fields of engineering. Learning German beforehand is not required for students electing to take English language course offerings, however you will have the opportunity to take an introductory German language course.

Mechanical, computer and electrical engineering students are highly encouraged to study at Ulm. The engineering courses are accredited and will count towards the U of M engineering degree. For engineering students who like to keep up with the industry, Ulm offers internship possibilities at corporations such as -- Daimler Chrysler Research Center Ulm, Nokia Design Center Ulm, European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company Ulm, BMW AG Munich, and Siemens AG Munich.The best time to study for electrical and computer engineering is during the spring semester. The best time for mechanical engineers to study in Ulm is during the fall semester.

Digital Media & Graphic Design:
The curriculum is similar to the University of Memphis degree plan, and students can even take their senior problem and independent study at Ulm in English. The digital media curriculum combines design and technology to help students improve their abilities with animation, story boarding, media law, and semiotics. The digital media program also offers motion capture studio for creating 3D animations and video games as well as virtual reality software, gloves and goggles to create and experience VR.

Housing: Hochschule Ulm will try to provide housing in one of our student dormitories regarding the wishes, the students mark in the housing request form. However, the situation in Ulm has become very difficult and we can not guarantee that we will find housing for all students. If students are able to find an accommodation by themselves they should let us know as soon as possible.
Housing prices range in the dormitory is approximately 270-400 € per month. There is a security deposit of 300 € per room.
Scholarships: Scholarships for University of Memphis students are available. Applications for scholarships may be accessed through the application materials. In addition to the University of Memphis Study Abroad Scholarships, applicants may be nominated for the Baaden-Wurttemberg scholarship. This is a competitive process and is not guaranteed.
