Program Description:

Program Description: Students have the opportunity to enroll in summer academic courses at any of the Palazzi campuses. During this program students will partake in one of Europe's most breathtaking cities renowned for the Renaissance movement. Just two hours by train from Rome and 3 hours from Milan, Florence is located in the heart of the Tuscan region that is home also to the Italian gems of Siena, Livorno, Lucca and Pisa; an hour train ride provides access to the Tuscan coastline off of the Mediterranean Sea. Palazzi facilities are all located in the historic city center which can be entirely explored on foot and is pulsing with museums, the headquarters of famous Italian brands many of which are Florentine, fine dining and the myriad of other cultural activities that the city has to offer. A pass for most museums is included.

The Palazzi campuses are located in the heart of historic Florence and allow students to take courses in a variety of different areas of study. The campuses that U of M students can take courses during this trip include: Florence University of the Arts, FAST: School of Fashion and Accessory Studies and Technology, DIVA: School of Digital Imaging and Visual Arts, and Apicius International School of Hospitality.
