Summer German Language Program

Program Description: Katholische Universität Eichstätt. Eichstätt is a fairly small, beautiful city located in Bavaria, not far from Munich. This program provides a unique opportunity to advance your language skills substantially, receive credit for your studies, and visit Germany at a reasonable price!

|Please note: A non-refundable deposit of $350 is due by February 25 to secure your place. Please submit your payment on the online application. Should the exchange rate go up, the tuition will be adjusted.

Eligibility and Space Available: Students in good standing at the University of Memphis; German majors/minors will have priority. (Program is limited to 8 participants).
Course Information: Students complete 6 credit hours for this program and have the option to complete Language, Culture, and Literature courses (intermediate/advanced level) or Language and Political Science & Economics courses (advanced level).
Daily Schedule: Classes are Monday-Friday, morning and afternoon classes for 80 contact hours to equal 6 credit hours for successful completion of the courses. The credits will be transferred from the University of Eichstätt/Ingolstadt.
Language, Culture, and Literature Courses: Intermediate German I (2010), Intermediate German II (2020), Advanced German I (3301), Advanced German II (3302), Literature (3412), Individual Study (4780)

- Optional evening courses in theater and dance available (included)
Trips: Excursions to Bavarian sites (including guided tours).
Housing and Board: Participants will stay in double or single occupancy rooms; breakfast is included in the program fees; lunch and dinner are offered in the student cafeteria for about $10 per day. Preferences for a single or double room are not guaranteed as they are dependent on space available. Students may need to be flexible.
